Parris Island Romaine Lettuce

50-70 days. It’s been over 50 years since this lettuce was introduced, and it still remains one of the most popular Romaine types. The 8 to 12 inch upright heads of thick, meaty, dark green leaves enfold a slightly savoyed, creamy-white heart. The flavor of this heirloom variety is sweet and mild, ideal for Caesar salad or tossed with other greens. Very uniform and slow to bolt.
